Evil is as evil does

Recently, a muckety-muck from religion “C” quoted a centuries old conversation where religion “M” was said to have teachings that were “evil and inhumane.” This prompted groups from religion “M” to perform acts that were evil and inhumane in protest.

I have plotted time lines for two ultimate fates of humankind and determined which will occur first:

Fate one would occur if the average intelligence of humankind progresses to where religions are a thing of the past.

Fate two would occur if some fanatical religious figure discovers how to blast the world into smithereens in order to guarantee entry into his hoped for eternal bliss and a never ending supply of virgins.

I know I will not live long enough to see fate one happen and I fear I may live long enough to enjoy, however briefly, fate two.
