Gratitude

Have you heard about the couple who escaped from Katrina and beseeched a Church to help them recover their lives. The Church was touched and the congregation helped to finance and build a $75,000 house that was given to the couple, free and clear. To show their gratitude, the couple never moved in, but sold the house for $88,000 and took the money and ran. Not that they hid, they said legally the house was theirs and they could do what they wanted with it. Kind of warms the cockles of your heart, doesn’t it?
I would like to enlist the International Brotherhood of Pyromaniacs to stalk this couple throughout their life and burn down whatever they choose to live in. Let them collect the insurance and move – BOOM, another inferno! And on and on and on. Unlike the Church, who will probably forgive them, I don’t think they deserve to EVER live in comfort.
