A Conondrum

Hilton and the internet.

Over the last year I have briefly resided in three or four different Hilton Motels. Their "rack rate" is usually in excess of $100 per night. At each of these establishments I was offered connection to the internet for a fee, differing by hotel from $4.95 an hour to $10.95 a day with the big whopper at Las Vegas - $12.99 daily.
I have also stayed at a Holiday Inn, Days Inn, and Microtel, all of which cost less than $70/night.
YET! - each of these 2nd rate motels provided FREE, yes, FREE internet access.
I have pointed this out to each of the Hiltons, and as you might guess, never got a logical response.

HEXXON

Once again, Exxon reports record profits.
How many top executives are receiving mega-million dollar benefits while the poor working people are struggling to meet their medical bills and feed their families?
How can these charlatans continue to convince (payoff?) our elected representatives that their outrageous salaries have nothing to do with the $4.00 price we're gouged at the pump? And do you think it's going down?
Our country runs on oil. We, the people, have no representatives to fight our battle - they're bought and paid for by Big Oil.
I don't know what the answer is but I'm behind every plan that uses solar energy, wind power, hydro-electric or nuclear power. We have allowed ourselves to dig a deep grave and we will have a helluva time digging out.
We shall overcome.
